Cleaning Slate Floors - The Easy Way

Wash your slate floors with a solution of mild detergent and water then rinse well. While strong alkaline cleaners will not hurt a slate floor they are overkill. For extra protection and shine, apply a water-based, self-polishing wax after cleaning, drying and sealing. Simple damp mopping is all your waxed slate floor needs to keep it clean between periodic detergent washings.
